Coffee, dinner and drinks around Red Bank

Strange Quarter guide · Wednesday, 4 November 2026

There is a daytime side to the quarter as well as a late-night one. Start on Red Bank for coffee or dinner, then find somewhere to carry on the conversation.

Coffee and a bake

Half Dozen Other’s Red Bank site is its working bakehouse. Drop in for coffee and something from the counter. It is walk-in, so there is no table reservation to organise.

Dinner under the arches

The Spärrows centres its menu on Central European cooking, including spätzle and other dumplings. Suzume, further along Red Bank, is a sake bar and restaurant. Make either one the main plan for your evening and book with the restaurant.

Make room for a pub stop

If you would rather keep things flexible, choose a pub or social bar as your meeting place. The directory links each one to its programme, opening information and directions, so you can see what suits the group.
