Who runs this site
The Strange Quarter guide is responsible for the personal information collected here. Use our contact form, selecting “Privacy or removal request”, to ask a question or exercise your rights.
Mailing-list interest
If you join, we store your email address, the time you joined and the wording version of your consent in Cloudflare D1. We use your consent to maintain the list and contact you about the guide’s newsletter. The list is currently a waitlist: addresses remain unconfirmed, and no regular newsletter is sent until an email confirmation process is available.
Unconfirmed requests are removed after 90 days. We do not sell the list. Joining sets an essential, secure cookie for up to 90 days so you can remove your request from the same browser. You can also ask for removal using the contact form. A future mailing provider will be identified here before we use it.
Messages and site security
Contact-form messages and any email address you choose to provide are stored for up to 180 days to handle the request. We rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining an accurate guide and responding to enquiries.
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and processes technical request information, including IP addresses. The application uses a salted hash of your IP address for short-lived abuse limits; those records expire within two hours and are cleared daily. We do not store your raw IP address in the mailing-list database.
Cookies, maps and other websites
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Fonts are hosted with the site. The map connects to OpenStreetMap only when you choose to load it. Event artwork may load from the event provider’s image host. Following venue, ticket or directions links takes you to services with their own privacy notices.
Your choices
You can withdraw mailing consent, request access to or correction of your information, ask for deletion and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cloudflare may process service data internationally under its data protection arrangements. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more information. We will update this notice when the way the guide handles personal information changes.
