Getting here — and getting home

Strange Quarter guide · Wednesday, 4 November 2026

A little route planning leaves more of the evening for the good part. Find the place you are heading to, choose how to get there and save a route home.

Start with Manchester Victoria

Manchester Victoria is a useful arrival point for this part of the city, with rail and tram connections. Use the Bee Network journey planner for a route from wherever you are starting, including the time you want to return.

Use the street address

The venues sit on different streets: Mary Street for Hidden, Bent Street for The Yard, Cheetham Hill Road for the DBA, and Dickinson Street for The White Hotel and The Bag Factory. Red Bank is the starting point for the bakehouse and restaurants. Save the address of your destination rather than relying on a venue name alone.

Arrange the journey home

Look up the final public-transport connections for the date of your visit. If you are booking a taxi, use the venue address and agree a meeting point with your group. Keep enough phone battery for your ticket and route.

Access and arrival

Venue guides include access information where it is available and link directly to the people running the space. For a specific arrival arrangement, contact the venue before the event so you can plan it together.
